In business, having a clear picture of your ideal customer – and how to attract them – is critical to creating a lucrative practice – never mind a practice that you love.  Developing awareness of what a successful business relationship looks like to you, and how to communicate this authentically is a learned skill, not something you are born with.  Bookkeepers tend to spend a lot of time learning the technical side of bookkeeping (like government compliance and how to utilize software), but may be undereducated when it comes to managing a relationship.
